Urszula is specialized child and adult Psychologist. She is HCPC registered under the protected titles of Counselling Psychologist. She has experience in delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapy for people across a range of age groups and emotional and psychological difficulties. Some of the difficulties that she has treated include; low-self-esteem; depression; anxiety; trauma; eating disorders; stress management and burnout.
Urszula specializes in providing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which she applies to a range of disorders. Furthermore, she is trained in mindfulness-based approaches, Compassionate Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Approach
Urszula creates a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can tackle the problems in living they may be experiencing. She believes in building a therapeutic relationship and working together to explore the client’s own ability to find their own solution that suits them best to lead the life they want to. She is working with warmth and reliability. Urszula understands that a person’s internal negative narrative can be disruptive in fulfilling life therefore she is using CBT to help clients improve their cognitive patterns and reach their full potential. Urszula works collaboratively with clients to develop a psychological formulation of presenting problems and helps the clients recognize their fears or sources of distress and aids them in altering their behavior towards their goals
Experience
Urszula has spent the last ten years supporting people with challenges in their life – from acute crisis to a general feeling that something does not fit. She has a vast amount of experience working with adults in both private practice, and in the public sector providing treatment to adults using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and an Integrative Therapy Approach.
Urszula has previously worked in an inpatient psychiatric facility as part of the Eating Disorders Department helping adults and adolescents with eating difficulties, severe anxiety disorders, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), panic disorder as well as depression.
Urszula has created and delivered workshops with the aim of promoting psychological and physical well-being Some of the themes that she incorporated, while conducting such workshops included, to name a few: anxiety, depression, introduction to the concept of self-esteem, techniques to increase self-esteem, and prevention of harmful behaviours (drugs, alcohol use, and sex). Urszula has also created parenting workshops for parents.

Experience as A Child And Adolescent Psychologist
One of Urszula’s main specialties is working with children and adolescents ages 3-18. Her work includes supporting young people with their psychological health, behavioural and emotional well-being needs.
Urszula had been working as a Psychological Counsellor at the Children and Family Advice Centre of the Polish Psychologist Association. She has been providing psychological help for families and teenagers. She worked with a range of mental health problems including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, and social anxiety. She provided specialist psychological assessment using a semi-structured interview and self-report measures such as the Patient Health Questionnaire PHQ9, Generalised Anxiety Disorder GAD7, Beck Depression Inventory, and Beck Anxiety Inventory. Urszula worked collaboratively with clients to develop a psychological formulation of presenting problems; emotional, cognitive, and behavioural. She developed plans for individual psychological therapy within a therapy model of up to 12 sessions.
As a counselor, she had offered emotional support to the parents who were being abused by their children (6 to18 years of age). Urszula worked with the whole family in order to empower parents to engage more effectively with their children and to end the abuse whether it was physical, emotional, financial, or verbal. She was using a Solution Focused therapeutic approach.
Also, Urszula provided practical and emotional support to individual young people (16 – 25 years old) with mental health problems and complex needs. She worked as part of a team delivering an assessment, support, and move-on service to vulnerable clients in supported and community-based accommodation.
Urszula had also worked with children presenting with all types of difficulties including children presenting with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), long term conditions, and body dysmorphic disorder (BDD).
